Just outside of Town, about 2 miles east, Monomoy begins. It offers some of the best views of the harbor and beyond. No wonder it's one of the most desired locations on the island for a Nantucket vacation home!

There is a public parking lot that allows for visits to shallow beaches, great for families to enjoy. If you have a clamming license, this is also a great spot to do some clamming in the summer or in the fall. You can also find Nantucket bay Scallops right off the shoreline. There are no facilities or amenities..so plan to pack a picnic!
