Elton Burch first vacationed on Nantucket in 1936.  She came here from Texas with her grandmother and they spent several months here each year until 1942.  After completing her studies at the Parsons School of Design in New York, she married Douglas Burch and they raised their family in Westport and Wilton, Connecticut.  Elton has lived permanently on Nantucket since 1979.

She has been a Massachusetts Real Estate Broker since 1984.  Prior to that, she worked for the Nantucket Conservation Foundation.  Mrs. Burch has been an agent with Jordan Real Estate since 1987, where she now specializes in Nantucket Vacation Rentals.  She has served as the Membership Chairman for the Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors since 1995, is a member of the Abiah Folger Franklin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution [DAR], and remains a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Stamford/Norwalk, Connecticut.

Elton volunteers at the Nantucket Historical Association for many special events.  She and her husband, Douglas, who is a docent/guide at the Nantucket Historical Association, reside on Academy Hill, in Nantucket’s Old Historic District. They have been married for 62 years and enjoy reading, walking, travelling and visiting with their five children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
